I think there is something wrong with my BBT. I had been thinking this for awhile... With all the duplicate temps and how fast it was suddenly giving me readings. But it doesn't appear to be running out f battery so I don't know....

Anyways long story short I found my old BBT and put both in my mouth at the same time last night just for a test. The newer one gave me a reading of 97.5ish while the old BBT gave me a 98.4ish. I then took my temp with my newer one two more times (with the same 10min time frame.) and it gave me two other temps no where near the temp I got the first time. And mind you I put them BBT on the same side of my mouth every time so it wasn't that.

Anyways I am not gonna switch thermometers right now.... If I don't get a BFP this cycle I will use my older working BBT for next cycle. But I am thinking maybe this is to cause for my wonky temps.

This AM I took my temp with my usual BBT and it gave me a reading in like what seems like less than 5 seconds for 97.65 or something. I took it with my old bbt and it was 98.58 and it took that bbt close to 30 seconds to a min to give a reading.

Anywho just thought I would share as this all see
A wayyyy odd to me. The fact that it's reading super quick and giving me quite a few duplicate readings and when I retemp to try and not to get a duplicate reading the new temp is further off for the first one only taken seconds prior.

I decided this cycle is what it is. I have no idea how many dpo I am. I am stressing over a wonky chart tht may be due to a dieing thermometer and so I am done worrying about it. I am now waiting for AF. Since I don't have an average cycle length I am going off of my longest. Which is 27 days. If AF does rear her ugly head by Friday I will test. :/

Mandy: Yeah something could totally be wrong with your BBT. I had very similar issues w/ Teddy's thermometer, so i bought a new one... and viola!! Problem fixed. If you do figure out it was the old BBT you may want to have FF not include these last few cycles.

Melissa: It's so good to see you. Welcome.

Christine: Sorry about the not being able to finish. My DH has that issue more than I would like to think about, again related to his condition. I am so in agreement w/ you about this baby taking longer than before. Teddy was also a first shot and sometimes I really think we'll never get lucky like that again. Between his condition, me still BFing and getting closer and closer to that magical age of 35 is really seems like the odds are stacked against us.

AFM: Pretty sure AF is going to be "right on time" this month with a gasp 28 day cycle. I haven't had a "normal" length cycle in ages. But we shall see later this week. Based on timing I am certain she'll be here later this week.

Melissa welcome!!! I am also I a transplant from the waiting to try board. Glad to see a new face.

Kate- yeah I am thinking that I will exclude at least this cycle if I don't get a BFP. (trying to be hopeful but I am very doubtful right now :/) I really have noticed the double temps and super quick readings this month. And my chart is pretty wonky so that may be why. :/ I know I was adjusting temps here and there (mostly on the weekends and I haven't adjusted in over a week). But that can't possibly cause my chart to be so wonky. Anywho. Hoping I won't need a next cycle but if I do the plans to use the old bbt.

Kate yay for the arrival of an on time AF... Fingers crosse your intuition is right.

Mandy - ok, glad to hear you're not stressing yourself out. :smileyhappy:

Heather - YAY for the OPK!!

Christine - UGH, hate that!!! DH has been moody lately too so we're not BDing nearly as much as we should. Why can't they just be robots when we need?! lol

Suzie - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo happy for you!!!!!!! :smileyvery-happy:

Melissa - HI!!!!!!!! I've missed seeing you around!! I don't think I've "seen" you since Newly Engaged and then you got married! Are you still in Canada?

Kate - that's awesome about the regular cycle.

AFM - need to be BDing! I'm worried about O - I'm not stressed but I'm not feeling physically any different. A few hot flashes but not many, which scares me into thinking it won't work. It could happen any time now (CD12) until CD21.

Alison: I know it's so hard not to think about Oing, etc... but the stress of it all can do terrible things to you, not that you didn't already know that. Enjoy your BDing.
