I love any kind of confession threads, but I thought us TTC mamas probably have a few things we can get off our chests. So confess away, TTC ladies!

I don't mind starting ;)

*An article I read on conception says that having full fat dairy, like ice cream, twice a week helps regulate ovulation and therefore ups the chances of conception. DH took that to heart and bought 2 boxes of ice cream sandwiches and two gallons of ice cream. I am trying to be good and only have some twice a week, but it's more like every night after dinner!

*I've been drooling over the babyhawk mei tai carriers for months and have seriously considered buying one, but I promised myself I would wait until I got pregnant. Then after the m/c in April, I promised myself I wouldn't buy one until 2T. I'm having a hard time not pulling out my checkbook lately though...

*I tested w/ a HPT last cycle before AF was due even though I knew there was only a 2% chance that we were pregnant. Good thing it was only a dollar store test!

I calculate my EDD every cycle... out of habit I even did it the first month of our break.

I totally do that too, Alison! I also think of fun ways to tell family and friends each cycle too.

I do that, too, Cortney! Each month it changes depending on the holidays and what my mood is. Sometimes I swear we'll wait until I'm 12 weeks to tell anyone (except parents) and some months, I'm like "Heck, we'll tell as soon as the stick dries!"

Glad I'm not the only one...

My DS has a stuffed bunny that he carries everywhere and my DH and I think it's so cute that we started looking at stuffed animals for future children....and then we ordered five. The package arrived when I had someone over, and it was really hard to explain that the animals were for hypthetical future children that have not yet been conceived.

Haha Alison, you are definitely not alone!! I just did that yesterday... (Hopeful)EDD 2/25/11. LOL

If only I could convince my DH that ice cream is a good idea... ;o)

The only confession that I can think of is that I broke out my pregnancy books this weekend (that have been gathering dust for about 10 months now) and reread the "You're 0-4 weeks pregnant" chapters (which the first couple months of TTC I would read every cycle right after ovulating before I finally realized I'd have the dumb things memorized before we ever got PG.) :p

I do that too! Well, both things. I find out what my EDD would be each month (February 18th if this is our month! -- we'll find out this weekend hopefully) and I have started re-reading the first couple of chapters of my pregnancy books. I actually even busted out our baby names book and wrote a list of potential girl names since we had such a hard time deciding on one for Roree (we have a for sure boy's name already). It definitely makes TTC harder though because I get myself too hopeful and am that much more disappointed when it doesn't happen. I tried not to be so excited this month, so hopefully I'll only be a little disappointed if it doesn't happen this month instead of really discouraged and upset.

I confess I haven't looked at an EDD calculator until this morning, after reading this thread. Thanks ladies. For this month my EDD would be 2/14. That WAS DS's EDD... how strange is that... after 7 years, a pregnancy, and and IUD to come back to that date.
