alison - sorry AF is screwing with you. How are you doing?

E - I'm doing alright. 6 dpo and waiting....

I once had a bladder infection like that. We were on our honeymoon in Jamaica!! It was terrible, and the timing couldn't have been worse. I hope I never have one like that again, so I totally know the feeling!! Here's to the 2ww!! :)

I'm sorry for anyone who has experienced a bladder infection! It was awful. Poor DH though - I know I looked and sounded horrendous - I was pale, sweaty, limping around, yelling out in pain from the bathroom. And we still hit the road for a 7 hour drive! I even insisted that I drive the first shift. I just knew if I sat in the passenger seat I'd dwell on how bad I felt, focusing on the drive was a good distraction.

Shawn - happy 2ww to you! You're almost to 1ww! :)

Jules - hope stupid AF shows up for you soon so you can move on! :)

AFM - I'm in my 2ww now too! Not sure how far into it though ... I was 3DPO with solid crosshairs, but then I saw some very clear EWCM today and when I marked that on my chart FF got confused. So it's dotted crosshairs for now. We'll see what happens tomorrow. I know my follicular phase temps aren't incredibly accurate because I really had 2 weeks of terrible sleep and temping at different times.

Question regarding your bladder infection. what were your symptoms? I am wondering becuase since yesterday I have had to pee a ton. I had have had issues with having to pee a lot since having David 2 years ago. I adressed with my OBGYN and my primary doctor. They both recommended if it got worse to see a urologist. Well I'm not sure if this is because of that or if it is a bladder infection or a UTI. But I called the doctor today so we'll see what they say. I almost always pee after having sex but we'll see. I think at some point I may have to see an urologist as the issues come and go. It does get annoying because before having him I could go most of the day without going. Not that case anymore. The funny thing was the first thing I did was go get a pregnancy test even though I had my AF back on Feb 1 and I'm on the pill. I said well what if....But it was negative. I'm glad because even though I have baby fever bad and wish I could TTC, it wouldn't be good timing and it's best we wait until the fall.

They said that is common after having a child. Not to scare you or anything, I don't think it happens to anyone but it happened to me. But my son was very big (8lbs 6oz)

Did you ever do any Kegels Sandy? They are pretty hypervigilant about having women work on their pelvic floor muscles during and after pregnancy here in Germany and I have to say that even with a 10 lber and tearing I haven't had any problems :) But when I say hypervigilant I mean health insurance even pays for you to spend about 10 hours in a course after the birth (spread out over 6-8 weeks) where you pretty much solely work on exercises designed to help get your pelvic floor back into shape. But I do think it works, plus I think it something you can always work on, so maybe it could help you now?

I hope there is nothing serious going on!

E- Sorry about the bladder infection, I have never had one but have heard they can be awful. I'm impressed that you still got BDing in!

Jules- Sorry for the BFN. I hope AF shows up soon so you can start getting ready for that sticky bean!

Shawn- Good luck this cycle- will you be testing on Sunday?

Alison- That sounds so stressful- I would probably do the same thing you are doing. I hope the timing all works out!

Sandy, I think my first sign was that my pee felt hotter than usual. DH said "your pee is supposed to be hot" but really, I noticed a difference, something seemed off. I also had to pee more often, and couldn't go as much as I wanted to. There was a feeling (a few days into it) of not being able to fully empty my bladder. As it progressed I had pain when peeing (2 days of minor, then MAJOR). The scariest part, was 2 days of blood in my urine (maybe more, but it would have been masked by an OTC medicine that turned everything neon orange). I should have gone straight to the doctor the first time I felt pain, or the first time I saw blood. I was definitely waiting 30 minutes or more (to pee) each time after sex because of TTC, and I will never do that again!

I pee a lot throughout the day. I think I have a pretty small bladder to begin with, but I also try to drink tons of water. In this case though, I was only going a little at a time most times, and it just felt unsatisfying.

I hope you get some answers soon, and don't worry you didn't scare me! ;) I've heard that after you have a baby, you pee every time you sneeze! lol So I'm prepared for that!

Ash - I'm impressed with our BD'ing too! I was shocked when I consulted my chart and saw we only really skipped one day! We just really really want to get pregnant and I would have felt so let down to have missed a chance this cycle because of abstaining. I did everything I could to take care of the health issue and told DH to do his thing! ;) lol We are troopers I guess.

Germany sounds like a great place to be pregnant! I love when you share information on how things are different there, it's very interesting.

I am pretty sure I have an infection of some kind. I started getting a burning sensation this evening. I am going for a urine test tomorrow after I get off work. I will let you all know what happens.

Sandy,

GL with your test. Selin was only 7lbs 5oz but I have urinary issues now. I used to be able to hold it for hours, now I can't. I drink a ton of water, which is a problem as a teacher since I can't just run to the bathroom whenever I want, so I can't drink as much during the day.

When I had my annual exam last summer, I brought up my concerns to my MW and she took a urine sample and said I was on the borderline and could go either way with meds. I chose not to since I'm still BFing and didn't want to have to go on maintenance medication, but she said it's very common and as Ash suggested, kegel, kegel, kegel! I try to do them whenever I remember. I think I still have stickers from our Bradley class somewhere as little reminders, maybe I should take those out again, lol.

I don't have the issue of leaking when I laugh or sneeze, but I do have to wear a pantiliner daily now and definitely have to go more often in general. Hope you don't have an infection. KUP!
