This board seems so empty without a TTC thread... so I thought I would start one... a place for those to chat that are TTC or getting close to TTC.

Good luck with the house Suzie, Im sure that will be a big relief when its all resolved.

Christine, I'm not going back to school right now (though I am taking a course, I must be crazy sometimes for continuing to take stuff here and there). The college is a professional registration I have to have for my job. I'm permanent but its a condition of my employment so I must get it. I'm just very impatiently waiting for it because there is a lot of anxiety that I wont get it since "technically" im not an official social worker in the eyes of the college.

Hi Ladies, thought I should throw my name in the TTC hat :)

DH and I have been NPP since the beginning of the year and I've been sorta-kinda charting.

I am slightly worried that BFing Eliza is going to reduce our chances of getting a sticky bean... AF has been super light since her return in November; wondering if that has something to do with BFing and if it is going to affect getting pg...?

Suzie,

Good luck selling your house! This is definitely a good time to list as many house hunters come out this time of year. My DH has been pretty busy with new clients (he recently became a RE broker) and we bought our house in the spring as well.

I too thought we'd be TTC #2 by now, but the longer we wait, I see the benefits. Selin has been such a handful lately that the thought of having a 3 to 3-1/2 year gap doesn't sound so bad and it would be awesome to have her completely potty trained by the time #2 comes. And as you know, with being a teacher, there are *preferred* times of year to get PG. ;-)

Ruby,

Fingers crossed you get your acceptance letter soon!

A friend of mine is a teacher but is back in school to get her MSW. She also has a 3yo DD and said it is a challenge balancing switching careers and motherhood but she's hoping it will pay off in the long run.

This is what I say to myself on a nearly daily basis, Christine!! OMG!! ;)

I'm here.

After the twins we thought we'd wait 4 or 5 years. As we got more sleep that changed to 3.

And then at the end of February we found out we were pregnant. We'd been VERY safe, using condoms correctly, only DTD 3 times that month, and we were shocked.

But unfortunately we lost the baby. We thought it was a one time thing and while we were sad we kept preventing.

Only last month again we found out we were pregnant. We were shocked until we realized our entire box of condoms was defective.

But yet again I started bleeding. I was starting to think the tests were wrong too when I started gushing blood really badly (filling a pad in under 2 hours) and was feeling really dizzy. I went to emergency care and I was definitely having another loss. On top of that they saw a cyst on my right ovary and I had become anemic.

Once we realized we were losing another baby my husband said he wanted to start trying.

I knew my body needed a break and wasn't sure if I wanted another baby because I wanted one or because of my miscarriages.

I thought about it a lot and we talked about it a LOT and decided that in June we'll just NTNP and if it happens, it happens.

So here I am.
