So sorry for your loss, Amy.

We are ok. We just got hit by the outer edges of the storm. It knocked down a few trees but we never lost power. I just had a very bad boring birthday (the 29th). Rob made up for it the next night once it was clear the storm wasn't going to hit us bad and stores opened again. We could see the storm, see the lightning, but all we really got were some mild showers and heavy winds. The worst part is all the bugs it blew into us. Yes, bugs. They are everywhere, covering cars, coming in the house every time we open the door. We still haven't moved because we put it off anticipating a bad storm with power outages and my mom's flight was cancelled so she was unable to come see us. She is going to reschedule but we don't know when she can come out and she can't help us move now. So I am on my own for packing, again. No fun. I guess it's a good distraction though. Something else to focus on. Thanks for thinking of me. I need a little more time but I do hope in time I can come back to posting regularly again.
