I was just reading an article from Today about the growing concern among parents that they could get in trouble for having photos of their naked child, like the ones where they are playing in a sprinkler or having fun in the bathtub.

Wow, Adrienne - I didn't read the article, but that is just awful! I think we do have to be careful about posting photos like that because of the conclusions OTHERS jump too. Which, of course, is just plain sad.

I now there are a few photos we've taken - like me or DH doing the kangaroo hold with Evan without a shirt (but still covered with a blanket) - where I haven't put up because I just feel like they're too intimate. I think that might be more of me being a private person, but I can see not wanting to share those kinds of photos because of what others might do/think as well.

That incident you mention is so sad, but makes you wonder what worse is going on because people have digital cameras and print at home or just upload them. I hate that we have to be so worried about stuff like that because of a few creeps out there. I have a picture of me, my twin and our cousin as little ones in the tub. Nothing perverted about that. Won't make me think twice about taking pictures but about posting them because of the creeps out there.

I have some naked baby pictures, but would never think of posting them online. Even the personal pictures of Peter getting a bath have a wash cloth over him. I never considered being charged with something; I just don;t want to have pictures he may be uncomfortable with oneday--especially on the internet.
