As most of you already know, we will be traveling to Turkey at the end of May to visit DHs family.

I have been on the mini-pill for over a year now and take it at 7am everyday. My question is: while we are on our trip, should I take it at 7am local time or take it at 7am my time, which would be around 2pm in Turkey??

It's been a few years since I've been overseas and I can't remember what I did before with taking BCPs.

Christine, you should take them 7 am YOUR time. Remember that with the minipill, a delay of only a few hours affects their effectiveness.

Agreed. My OB told me to always stay within the same 2 hour window when taking it.

With the minipill take it at the time you would take it in the US, so 2pm! Otherwise it may not be effective.

Thanks everyone! Now the challenge will be remembering to take it in the afternoon! Although at this point, if we had an oops I don't think my DH would be totally devastated. ;-)
