Hey ladies- I love to read everyone's blogs, and I'm guessing that some of you have blogs that I don't know about. So, if you have one, and you'd like us to read it, I'd love to have a link for it!

Also, I recently made my blog private (even though I rarely ever post) mostly because I just want to know who is reading it. So, if you want to read my blog, let me know and I'll invite you.

I see most of you use blogspot. How does it compare to wordpress?

Never tried wordpress so I can't say.

Hey gals - Just wanted to share my blog(s) as well. Here is the link to my personal one.

From there in the left column, you can find the links to two websites/blogs I work on professionally, one of which I think many of you mamas would be interested in. I write a lot about breastfeeding, general parenting stuff, work/life balance, healthy foods/nutrition and do workout DVD giveaways as well. One of them has been around since 2008 but the other is relatively new (since A was born) and we're trying to get more traffic going so I wanted to spread the word. :)

Erica, I've been a webs.com user for a LONG time, if you have any questions about it, let me know. I just looked and members can get an RSS feed to the protected page just like in other blogs or you can send email blasts when you post something new.

Christine, I've used pretty much all the blogging formats and I'd say most of them are very user-friendly. The best way to choose a site is to figure out what you are going to do with it. If you will mostly be posting pictures, you might consider setting up a share site through Shutterfly (Jessica mentioned she has one). It lets you share your photos and does have a place for videos and blogging if you want, but it's main purpose is photo sharing.

Blogger is much more user-friendly than it used to be and the photo upload can be as easy as sending a picture to a specific email that will automatically post to your blog.

A lot of people like Wordpress, but I don't personally find it to be as versatile as some of the others.

There is also one called Posterous (posterous.com) that allows a lot of privacy control and easy photo posting as well.

And then, my personal fave is webs.com. It allows you to password protect only the certain pages you want. I have mine set up as our family website (alisonandfred.com) and then there is a tab "Little Bird" where if you click on that you will be asked for an email and password. Only those people that I allow will be able to gain access to that page. It has a blog template that will still allow people to comment just like the other blog sites and FB. You can invite groups of people at a time, so it's pretty easy to get the word out to your family & friends.

My biggest issue with FB is that they are always changing the privacy settings that you then have to go in and manually change/change back.

Hope that helps!

I like blogger but haven't used word press. Most everyone I follow has blogger. And since I love google that's why I went with it.

I am sort of a sharesite junkie. I have my blog which I really do so I can print the first year or major things for gabby into a book. I think Ella did it and it turned out great. I also share some photos on FB. But most of my photos go on shutterfly.

As for my name. Not so creative. It's mainly my blog about life with gabby. So that's where life with my peanut came from. I have people IRL and my online friends reading it. Plus I know my mom has forwarded it on to her friends so I know I have a few others following it without actually following it. I post the links to my blog on fb everyonce in awhile. And I have the feed for it on gabby's shutterfly site. I also track her monthly happenings. Like when she crawls or sits up etc on shutterfly.

I love wordpress, but I've never used blogspot so I can't compare. I find wordpress to be flexible and user-friendly.

My blog actually began as a knitting blog about six years ago, so "Warm As Pie" was more about cozy, warm hand-knit items. However, I never really got into that blog. I didn't use any pictures, and it didn't have a strong sense of "voice" or purpose. Then in September of 2009, I decided to start over. I kept the same blog (and name), but I deleted everything. Now, I see "Warm As Pie" to be about the mood of the whole blog.

When I started blogging, my hubby was really uncomfortable with the personal nature of it. He didn't want me to do it at all, but we compromised by agreeing that I wouldn't post any face pictures of our kids. I do post pictures on Facebook since it is a little more protected.

Have fun!
