We are moving... NOT relocating... yay!

We will be moving to my late grandma's house, mainly to cut back on expenses because we plan to start b uilding our own home in the next few months.

Anyways, Any tips or ideas on how to make the move easier?? The idea is already freaking me out!!!

We were not great movers, so I'm cracking up at the thought of me giving advice! Ruby gave great advice about the kitchen. I would also say to have a little kit with important little things like a screwdriver, tape, a flashlight, etc. You know...things you often grab for. Make sure you have important documents all in one easy-access location.

Congrats!!! Pack the kids stuff last and unpack it first. Do your best to keep their routines the same.

Oh that's a good one. Label the boxes.

The last time we moved I also number the boxes and kept a master spread sheet of what was in each box, so ic could find it fast.

Totally agree to use this time to purge all the stuff you don't use anymore. Try to find someone that can take your kids at least during the day during the move so you can focus on packing and unpacking. Start collecting boxes and paper right away, and enlist your friends to help.

Pack up one room completely, stick the boxes somewhere else, and then use that empty room for the pets. All the moving of stuff stresses them out.

And ask for help! I'm a horrible packer, but my mom rocks at it. I always give her the tough rooms (like the kitchen).
