X-posted from my Aug Expecting Board
Some of this is repeat from what i have posted in the pregnancy chat....
Its been a very overwhelming couple of weeks...and I just need to get this out. so sorry if it's long.
Today is my Due Date and I have everyone under the sun asking me if I am still pregnant, or "what you are still working" but that's not even 1/2 of it.
DH's company got bought out earlier in the year and the deal went through in July. So while we get to keep our current insurance coverage, it's a brand new policy. Which means that I have/had to update all our stuff at the hospital, clinic. I have claims in flight with the old policy number with our therapist - she is covered as in-network under a pre-cert. Well they process them wrong every time, so I am working on getting those processed right, while trying to get our future ones for the rest of the year transferred over to the new policy #.
My dietitian for my GD I was told was not covered, so I payed almost 200.00 out of pocket when I went to see her back in June. I just looked this week and found out that nope they covered her and I only owed 30.00 bucks, so now I am trying to get a refund from the hospital.
My car broke down on my while on the highway this past weekend and we just spent almost 800.00 dollars on it a month ago for new brakes and a few other things. and after taking it to one place we payed 100.00 bucks for the diagnostic test and then had to take it to the dealership. Long story short, we found out that it's actually the Throttle body that is broken and at the dealership will cost almost 900.00 with the diagnostic test they did + the installation and part of the throttle body. Plus we need to get new tires for this car so it's another 400.00 or 500.00 dollars.
My aunt had double bypass surgery and had a stroke while under and is recovering very well, but they found out that she had more brain aneurysms. She had one about 15 years ago that was coiled and clipped, so she couldn't have an MRI. they did more tests and they actually found 8 more in there, 2 of them are larger than 8mm (which is large) and 3 are 3mm and then the last 3 are 3mm or less. so in a few months when she finishes recovering from her open heart surgery she is going to have to have surgery to take care of the aneurysms.
I am just feeling overwhelmed today with all of this stuff going on. DH wants to have a friend (who casually works on cars) fix our cars to save the money, and while I appreciate that we need to save the money, I don't know if I trust our friend to do something like that. I told him to call around to a few other places to see, the dealership always charges more...GRRR why does this have to happen a few weeks (or hours) before I go into labor!! I just don't get it.....
If you made it this far thanks for listening.
