So there is a chance I may be PG again - I took a HPT this morning and got a very faint line and am supposed to go to my MW this afternoon for bloodwork. I'm still EBF and AF has not yet returned so if I am PG, I have no idea how far along I am but I'm hoping not too far!

We are currently on temp insurance while we wait for our new coverage to begin on 10/1 - I quit my FT job last month and we

I'm glad to hear it all worked out, Christine! I would definitely use a back-up BC around your usual O time (until you are ready for #2) since I feel like the mini-pill doesn't work very well for lots of people!

Thanks for the update Christine. Hopefully you won't have another scare until your ready (but then it wouldn't be a scare would it)

Thank the Lord - I'M NOT PREGNANT!!!!!!

I went for the bloodwork yesterday at my MW's office and they took forever to get me the results. I was a nervous wreck all morning.

We still have an issue with insurance though because the private insurance has optional maternity coverage that wouldn't take effect until one year from now. So if we elect the coverage and I get PG before one year from now, we're screwed. Ugh, this sucks!! At least I'm not PG though, that would make things even worse. Phew!

Good point... but have him double check on that open enrollment date... ours is Nov. 1.

If you do run into any trouble with you private insurance company, you could switch to your DH's insurance (I'm assuming that's a group plan through work), which wouldn't have pre-existing condition exclusions. Usually companies have open enrollment at the end of the year, in which case you could pick it up Jan 1st.

I was thinking about this last night... and I could see where you would want to know, especially if it wasn't planned and you need to prep yourself to tell DH. And since you're taking the mini-pill you would need to stop taking it if you were PG.

If I were you I would call Planned Parenthood or something like that to go in for a test. That way you know now, and then can prep for when you do have insurance. (I don't know how the your new insurance company would react, they are all so different... could you call and ask them without telling them who you were... or maybe check their web-site?)

Thinking about you... keep us updated.

Most doctors here will only do a confirmation appointment, where you pee on a stick, earlier then 8 weeks. After that they don't want to see you for anything until 10 weeks. So honestly I think as long as you take your prenatals you are fine to just wait until October. It's only 4 weeks away, and not to be negative but if anything was going to go wrong it would go wrong no matter how many times you saw a doctor you know? If it was me, as much as I would hate waiting, I'd rather get the insurance because last time I had to pay 10% each appointment, and 20% for labs and u/s and I STILL owe $600 from my pregnancy. And I pay over a $100 a month if that tells you anything.
