I have been super lax at following the PG board (partly because while I am excited for you, it discourages me) but I saw that the front page was filled with many more announcements of boy or girl.

First off- Jay! You got your little boy! I am so so excited that something you did worked for you and you are going to be adding a male member to your family!

Ashley, Ash, Cheryl, Suzie, Julie, and Heather- Congratulations on your little boys! I hope you are looking forward to little bundles of energy, and you're ready to play all sorts of games!

Heather- Congratulations on your little girl! I hope you're looking forward to dressing up with her, and having little tea parties and all kinds of fun with her.

Cara, Natalie, Carly and Ruby- I admire your resolve to not know the sex until the birth! I hope that you have fun guessing what the sex is until then, and I imagine that there are plenty of people in your lives who are guessing as well! I can't wait to find out if it is a boy or girl each of you is blessed with in the months to come.

To anyone that I thought I had said congratulations to on the sex of your baby and I actually didn't... I apologize, but know that I am wishing you all kinds of happiness with your boy or girl in the time to come.

Awww, thanks Lisa! I hope you'll be joining us soon. As for not finding out, my response is pretty much the same as Carly's, I love the surprise at the end! I was the kid that even if I knew where my Xmas presents were hidden I would never sneak a peek because I love the fun of being surprised! I guess it just carried over to having babies! LOL.

Hi Lisa,

I don't know my baby's sex yet (hopefully I will on January 6!)

But I just wanted to say "hello" and let you know that I check in on you and the other TTC ladies I know often. I am sending you tonnes of baby dust, and sincerely hope that a Christmas or New Year's BFP is on its way for you. I also think it's wonderful that you have a strong resolve to adopt if your TTC journey takes longer than expected. You will be a mother soon, and a wonderful one:).

You ladies are so sweet! Here I am trying to congratulate you and wish you happiness on your journeys, and encourage me and send me baby dust! :-) It really touched my heart, and I seriously get the best vibe when I am on this board in any capacity.

I too hope that it happens soon (of course, and I would LOVE a Christmas BFP for my parents and in-laws sooooo much) but I am also focusing on cherishing the time that I have with just me and my husband because I know (like Cassie was so sweet to remind me) that someday in the not too distant future we will have kids, whether I give birth to them or we adopt, we know that we will have kids. And once we have kids there will be days where they are arguing or screaming or won't go to sleep, and we will wish for the precious time that we have now of just us. And when I look at it that way, although I still see babies and want one of my own, it makes it better, because I realize that the two (married no kids and married with kids) cannot exist at the same time. While I look forward to the kids time... I shouldn't neglect that I am currently in the other time and that I will be in this time for a finite amount of time and is to be cherished as much as the other.

So yeah, I am doing okay. :-) Probably the hardest thing is the time of the month that we have to focus on BD timing because that time is a definite strain on our marriage, and I am looking forward to that pressure ending, but otherwise life is good.

I hope that I also can encourage those of you who are expecting your first to really enjoy this time too, and to spend some time not just looking ahead to baby time (which will be wonderful too, I'm sure) but also enjoying the time that you have before the baby comes of just the two of you.

Lisa thank you so much!! Yes we are very excited that we are finally adding a male to the family. It is definitely a new experience and I am sure I am in for a ride with keeping up with a little boy.

I am so sorry that you haven't gotten your BFP as of yet. I sure hope and pray that you get yours soon. I cannot imagine what you and the other women on here that are TTC are going through. I am sure it is very hard to keep up with us and it is very understandable.

Thanks again!

Lisa,

Thank you so much. I lurk on the TTC threads often but try not to post to much. Your time will come and you will make a great mother.

Thanks Lisa!

Like the other green teamers, we want the surprise, especially for our first baby! It was tempting to find out today but we kept our resolve!

Good luck this cycle, tons of baby dust! I hope to see you in the PG thread soon and if adoption is in your future, either way you'll be a great mother!
