Oh Christine, I'm so happy that something good finally showed up!!!
I'm sorry I didn't post in this thread earlier, somehow I didn't make enough time for it, but you've been in my thoughts for the last weeks!
Oh, and really, your boss is a real b*tch!!!!

Christine, I am so happy that something is hopfully working out for you! I'm terribly jelouse at the same time though. I finally applied for a few more jobs this past week. So I'm just waiting on the Dear John letters to roll in.

As for the pumping isses, I know my company has a policy about it. Most larger places do. Women are allowed to pump on their breaks, which here they get two of them paid. One for every 4 hours of work. Then they can also pump on their lunch. If something falls through I would definatly look into it.

Thanks everyone!

Cassie - I am thinking of you often and hoping you'll find the perfect job. I know you're a pet lover - have you ever thought about pet-sitting/dog-walking??

My "interview" went very well today and I accepted the position so I'm giving my 2 weeks' notice tomorrow!! I have no idea how my boss is going to react but I'm very excited about leaving there and starting over fresh. This will be the first job where I have not worked in an office so it will be interesting for me. The owner is super flexible and basically she said I can work as much or as little as I want.

We still have to figure out daycare logistics

Oh, thanks Kate! Will you be leaving your job then to be a SAHM?

I just gave my notice and my boss took it better than I was expecting. She thinks I'm leaving to be a SAHM, I didn't tell her about my new job since she didn't ask and I'd rather her not know where I'm going. I am so glad it is over with - my stomach was in knots all morning but I had to wait to tell her because of meetings she was in. It still all seems surreal to me but I am so grateful everything is changing for the better.

I'm glad things went well on both ends. Thanks for the idea, however in the area I am in there are so many people already set in those positions. It is something I have considered though. Hopfully one of the three I put in for

Nope, so SAHM gig for me... not unless DH's company really really takes off (as it is they lay him off in the summer, it's so slow then). But I do need to find a job closer to home. I commute an hour each way... so I spend 20 hours a week driving to and from work... very depressing when you think about it that way. Not to mention I have been at the same place for the last 10+ years. Time for a change in scenery.
