Two very different news... A good one and a bad one
I posted them because both stories moved me as a mom and as a cat lover. As a mom I was surprised about the power of love... and also a little shocked, scared... because i don't think she truly "resucitated" her baby, I think that the baby's vital signs were just incredibly low, and her warmth and love helped him become alert. Which leads me to "what if she had given up?" The baby would have been abandoned as dead, and certainly died shortly after...
As far as the lady with the cat. I don't think she intended to make a joke at all. I just think she's one of those sick people who like to harm animals, and she truly wanted the cat to die. I really think that if the UK has animal protection laws, she should be convicted in some way.
As a new mommy, that first story brought tears to my eyes. The power of a mother's love can be marvelous, especially when she acts on instinct to care for her baby.
As a cat lover, the second story just makes me so angry. It's so sad that there are people with no compassion for animals.

Thanks for sharing that first story, how amazing! I shared it with my EC as well.
The second one is horrible! (I mean that woman is horrible.) How could she think that was funny! The cat could have been killed and it wasn't even her cat (though that might make it even worse)! Ugh, people.
