That is crazy! I wouldn't feel bad saying no, you are doing more than you're even "supposed" to right now, and they should cut you some slack since you are pg. Sometimes the ones "in charge" of scheduling and such give no thought to what would make sense, and the regular folks have more common sense and know that the store will not implode if things are a bit different for one night. Sheesh. Yup, work does suck sometimes!

It's truly ridiculous of them to even ask you! Good grief! Good for you saying No! Hang in there!

Ugh, that sucks!! It's sometimes frustrating being the person everyone can count on, because then some people try to take advantage of it. I think you're totally within your rights to say no, and they'll just have to deal with it. You're already stretching yourself by working more than your OB tells you too. If they complain, just get a note from your doctor.

That is totally crazy, especially when you are pregnant. I mean come on, they should be more understanding. My SIL had to go through that a little she worked in a retail store and when she was pregnant they had her working these crazy hours, luckily part way through her pregnancy she was switched to another store that wasn't a 24 hour store like the previous one she was at.

Good luck! hang in there and tell them no.

I called a former co worker who got moved up in the company and talked to her last night. She agreed with me. I really miss having her around the store, she was like my big sister. :(

I didn't even get to call

Oh Cassie, you did right, and they won't fire you because of this, try to relax!!! You are 7 months pregnant, I don't think any evaluation would take this into account!!

Cassie, I agree with Mari, you did the right thing and I don't think they will take it into your eval at all. If they do, I would explain to them that you were supposed to be working only 8 hours days during your pregnancy and you weren't and that this was only 1 day out of all the other days you have worked above and beyond.

I am like you where I don't like to say no to people, but I found that I was less resentful when I did say no, and that Things still worked out.

Good for you for sticking to what you wanted to do.
