That sounds like a good plan, Christine! I'm glad you guys are working out something you feel more comfortable with.

In terms of your DH's attitude, I think it DOES need an adjustment!! Someone mentioned sometime that leaving DH's alone with the baby for a whole day can be a real eye-opener for them--taking care of the baby is a FULL time job, cleaning up is a whole other job!

If it makes you feel any better, our house is an absolute mess all the time and I don't have any job or baby--and it sounds like yours is MUCH cleaner.

As for your question - you'd be surprised how little income you can live on. When my DH was in school we had a very very little income. It was a fantastic way to learn to be extra frugal. No choice! There are

Thanks so much for the advice. I'm actually planning to leave Selin with DH next Sat. as I have a few appts. to go to and figured I might as well make it a "me" day. DH has also admitted that he probably won't realize how much work it is until he has to do it all by himself. So I'm hoping the day will be enlightening for him.


I will def. check that book out. I am already a pretty frugal person but DH is not and we constantly disagree about how the little things add up.
