Venting....

Hi girls... this is about two things that have been bothering me. First the silly one and then the "serious" one...

#1- the dress: Some of you know about the dress I got for my sister's wedding. It was freakin' gorgeous. red wine shantung, knee lenghth... gave a me a spectacular body (better than pre-baby!!!). I felt like a diva, so I went with an old holywood hairstyle and full red lips. EVERYONE I met at the wedding had something to say about my looks. I think I got as many compliments as on my wedding day!!!!

In regards to the dress... I have learned over the years to save those types of dresses for when baby isn't going to be around.

Thanks girls for the advice! I talked to DH about this and we had a mini fight... which in the end adressed both my concerns... He told me I was acting like a little girl fishing for compliments, and that he already told me "you look/are beautiful" plenty of times (that's true, he does), just that he likes to keep it spontaneous. I told him that although I loved the random compliments, there were times when I pay extra attention to my looks and I deserve some appreciation... So he said something like "I really don't understand you sometimes", and stormed out and went to take a shower. That night we talked again, and although he apologized for being insensitive at the wedding, but told me that he really likes to be spontaneous about such things, because otherwise he feels like he is reading a part (sigh!!). And then told me how much he loves me and that I'm always pretty... We talked some more and then we were really in the mood for make up sex.... and we werre out of condoms!!!! (we wanted to bang our heads against the wall) We thought about taking or chances, but I've been noticing some fertile signs lately ... and neither was ok with that. So I guess none of us is really "ready" yet. I won't stress about it for a while, as Adrienne said, we have some months yet, and maybe we'll be ready then, if not we will wait some more time. Oh! BTW, I'll post a pic of the dress soon!

Kate, Ruby, I don't want it to come off as if DH is indifferent to me. We DTD often I think for a couple with a baby in the room. It's just that it's usually a quickie under the covers, and it is becoming a bit of a routine. I think you are right about the lingerie, I even have a few "lacy things" that have been stuck in the drawer since the honeymoon... I guess it could be worth to leave Fede with the grandparents one of this nights and give the old romance a try!!
