Mother's Day will be our big "telling day"!
We will get to my parents house Saturday night, and spend the night, and then all but one of my sisters, and my two grandmothers will be coming over the next day for lunch.
We got a "Grandma" card for my Mom (and MIL) and Great-Grandma cards for my two Grandmas, so when we do the card opening, I'm just going to tell them all to open them together because "their presents go together". In each card I'm going to put a note like: "You are getting a grandchild for mother's day!" And a copy of our latest u/s pic (at 9 weeks, it is sort of just a blob, but whatever), and a copy of the "actual size" 12 week baby from "Your Pregnancy Week by Week", with a note like: "This is what your (great) grandchild looks like right now."
I will also bring the doppler so I can let them all hear the HB.
Then sometime in the afternoon, we will go to DH's Mom's house to meet with BIL and SIL, and we'll repeat a similar scene there, hehe, and have dinner with them.
I have to figure out if I will also get them some kind of flowers/present, etc.
So, needless to say, we are excited for Mother's Day! :-)
Aw, your Mother's Day plans sound so great! Have fun with it :)
We have no plans. Both our mothers live on the other side of the country, so we'll be calling them and that's about it. Not sure if DH has anything planned for me - we'll see!
That sounds great Adrienne!
I am flying down to Atlanta with Eloise on Saturday, my sister graduates from Law School on Monday. So Eloise and I will spend Mother's Day with my Mom, I think we're planning on going shopping at the outlet mall. Desmond and DH will spend mother's day with my MIL up here, since Desmond isn't coming with Eloise and me.

Your plans sound great Adrienne! Have fun!
I have no idea if DH has anything special planned for me or not, he's never been huge on the romantic stuff but I have to say, being my first Mother's Day and all I'd be lying if I said I wasn't
Carly - Happy Mothers Day from me! I am always thinking of you, Tad and Rob! HUGS
Adrienne - Your day sounds wonderful! I can't wait to hear how it turned out.
AFM - My family and friends do the Race for the Cure with the Susan G Komen Foundation in the Twin Cities here every year! We had 14 people this year. 10 adults and 4 kids. My aunt who is also pregnant brought a wheel chair, which is nice (she has hip problems) so I got to ride in it for a little while, it's only 5k, but we were there from 7:00 until 2 today so it makes for a long day.
I got a card from God Daughter Rachel this morning which was nice. and I think DH actually got me a card this year. He golfs with the guys while the women do the walk so he isn't home yet..other than that just chillin! Hope everyone had an awesome day!
Adrienne - can't wait to hear how the good news goes!
Carly - everytime I hear from you it breaks my heart that we don't live closer to one another so I could do something to help. You and your family are always in my thoughts.
AFM - we had my parents over for a late lunch yesterday and grilled angus burgers. They were so good! We went to my IL's this morning for breakfast, I went for my monthly massage, the three of us went for a nice walk at the forest preserve then to our fav Irish pub for dinner. Dh surprised me with roses and is now pacing the house with Selin trying to get her to stay asleep. :-)
