My House...

...is slowly starting to look like a home again, instead of a business! lol I only have N (2 1/2yo) and the baby left, so I'm starting to take toys and things down that aren't age appropriate. When N's gone (probably in another 3-4 weeks--Mom's going to start interviewing other providers and centers next week) I can pretty much take care of everything except a couple pnp's, the baby swing and bouncy seat. I do have another baby starting the 12th (she'll be 6wks then). Mom's a teacher and works until June 4th, and the baby I have now is done June 9th (he's 3mo right now). My house is starting to look so bare, but ya know what? I like it! It'll be nice to get it looking "homey". I've always run a business here so it's going to be very different! A lot of what I have left are things I'm keeping for our new kids. I've already sold a lot of the equipment that I'm getting rid of. I just advertised the preschool/toddler chairs and high chairs on Craigslist this morning, and that'll leave me just the Lakeshore table to sell. Everything else went to friends. :p

Happiness with a twinge of sadness. Just a twinge, though. I'm actually really excited. It's time for a change. :)

Imagine me weighing that option ... hands either side going up and down, "my house back?"

Oh, I'll still be my own boss! lol I do love my job, but when dh and I weighed all the options this was the best decision for us. There will be a small income while we're fostering, but it's SO not why we're doing it. It will help, though, especially is we need to buy diapers and formula. It's going to be interesting, though. :) My boys haven't had a summer break without other kids here since before Randy started school! We may only have a couple weeks to ourselves before getting placements, but we're going to enjoy them. :)

OK- rub it in!!

I can't wait for the basement to be finished so I can move all the daycare stuff downstairs- so my house looks like a house again.
