Ok- my little spit-fire 2yr old dcg A needs to learn how to nap with the others. When she first started here we were still allowed to nap them upstairs in separate bedrooms. When I was forced to bring them downstairs I attempted to have her nap in the same room with another her age (like 9 months). She didn't do so well so I put here in the mud room by herself. She has been there since.
Now she is pulling up the mattress flooring of her PnP - usually after she wakes- I can grab her quickly. But today she managed to do it before she even slept. I realize that could be dangerous and brought her into the dining room with the rest of the nappers. (Have 4 kiddos on cots- ages 3,3,4,4# She is in the spare PnP I keep in there. Since she has never shared napping space with anyone she isn't doing so well. I have managed to keep her laying down- but keeping her mouth shut is another. She is singing or making other noises. The other kids are all laying quiet and being fantastic, but the are having trouble sleeping. For A this is cool- what a fun party everyone in here. I have 2 fans going and the dishwasher is chugging away in the kitchen to help with the noise.
I need advice. My dining room is the only place for her - but it isn't dark- very bright actually. The other kids- all older are able to lay down, close their eyes and fall asleep- bright or not.
