Most of us are family child care providers, and usually get most of the proper items back to the proper family. Especially if labled with the child's name.
Hi. I actually work at a "facility" daycare but not a big name one like Goddard. It is a smaller one that is owned by a local woman but she just chose not to run it out of her house. I work in the infant room and I consider myself on top of things when I am at work. The one thing that drives me crazy is that when I leave for the day and the afternoon woman takes over, things get lost and stuff gets given to the wrong children. It does happen but I am really not sure how it happens. I pride myself on the ability to keep everything straight while I am at work however I guess so people don't feel the same way. If the name comes off the pacifier, I will write it again and again. There are items you can buy the make your stuff stand out. I've seen these bands that you place around the bottle so they don't get confused. I've also seen bright labels that have the childs name on it so it can't be mistaken for someone elses. In the bigger scheme of things, a pacifier is probably nothing to get too over annoyed about. Heck, I used to lose my own DD's at my own home :) But if it keeps happening with frequency then I would speak up about it.
This is why I don't do stuff back and forth between me and the parents.
Putting our initials on them wouldn't work if the clothing was something like easy on nice thick sweat clothes.
I should write on my stuff.
I STOLE THIS SLEEPER FROM JANET JUDD.
It doesn't matter WHAT is written on it though seriously.
That is really funny about boys in pink. LOL
