And the dcb, he seems clingy of my son.Like if one of the neighbourhood kids asks ds to play basketball outside and C (dcb) doesn't want to and stays inside he pouts, At the playground ds tears around and C just kind of trails him and commontates. If ds goes on the swing, C follows. He says things like 'are we going on the swings now?' Ds sometimes turns down invites to play because he feels (I think) obligated to C. Dont get me wrong, C is a nice boy and they are good friends. Ds even said the other day "C looks so lonely if I don't play with him, like he's not having fun" and I told ds many times over, I am C's caregiver, not him and C is the one who makes his fun, ds is not responsible for him or for his fun. (did I mention, if it makes a difference, C is about 10-15 lbs overweight) I'm starting to ramble. Its just been a really long, loud day.

I too have my own kids who are 7 and 3 and two dck 6 and 7. The older ones never want my 3 yr old around. Some days i can't wait till just one of them goes home. It's a nice day when they all agree to play together, which can be rare.
Hang in there!

I got some razor scooters from ebay for about $10 each. They are "reconditioned" from Sharper image. They are small enough to keep hidden and out of my way , but the grade schoolers each have one now. If the boy's parents will agree, he can bring his bike. They can play their Star wars figures outside in the dirt. As a kid I would spend hours making scenery for my "guys" (plastic fugures)in the yard. I think this summer will be a good learning experience for this boy.
The girl is another story. I say lock her in the basement and hope the summer goes by quickly.
