Tolerance... when to quit?

Hello,

I'm 45, two children (16 and 26). I have cared for many children of all ages over the years, but never for pay.. I recently started sitting jobs for payment. I started a 1-night a week (sleep over) sitting for an 8 year old boy, and an 11 year old girl for $120.00 per night. Last night was my 2nd time. The first time was not easy, but I thought I'd give it a second chance. The father told me that his daughter is ADD and is in a counseling program. Both children are hyper and difficult, but my problem is with the 11 year old. She has shown the following behaviors:

Swearing

Calling me a stupid bi*ch, stupid idiot, I hate you, etc.

Threatening to hit/bite me

Screaming, yelling, tantrums

Threatening to tell parent abc... about me (which is not true)

Harrasing her brother to cause a fight.

I would let the father know that due to the child's behavior issues it is too difficult on yourself and family to continue to have her overnight.

Sometimes it is not worth it. Personally, I would not watch them anymore.

Good luck!

Thank you ladies, for your advice. I truly apprciate it. I've decided not to keep the position. The stress is not worth it for me.

Thanks again!!!!
