Jenny, we're not going to flame you! The way I always look at it is this--if I worked outside the home would I call in sick today? If the answer is yes then I'd call the parents and close. If you can't adequately care for the children OR you feel you'll be exposing them to unnecessary germs (which they've probably already been exposed to anyway, so be prepared for that argument from the parents and sometimes it's not even worth it to go there), send them home. Don't feel guilty or bad about it. We all hate to put parents out, but if they were sick they'd take off, too. Hugs, Girl. Feel better.

I agree with Cathy. You could just call the parents and leave it up to them too. Tell them you do not feel well and you know it is an imposition but that you wanted to make them aware that you cancelled your afternoon kids and don't feel comfortable exposing baby. It is always a hard call. Good luck
