My dishwasher started leaking this morning due to a broken rubber seal.

I almost never get extended warranties, but yeah, very good that you did that! I actually did get one on the new tv. I think I got one on the big tv (52" plasma) also. For some things it just seems worth it, especially if they're wicked expensive or a pain to replace. Glad you're getting the dishwasher fixed in short order! If I made the kids wash dishes by hand, I think they'd cry. LOL.

You know, Jake would totally do something like that. He broke my $1300 printer doing something goofy when he was 2. He opened a panel and just ripped cables out to the point we couldn't fix. No warranty, so it became just this big piece of junk under the desk (was such a big printer that I made a sliding stand for it using a round thick almost table-top from Lowe's, and then I put rolling casters on it). I cried when he broke it. I'd kill to have that sucker now that I work from home.

Aww, I'm glad you're ahead on your book, but bummer that they postponed the meeting. Any chance you know what the next book is and could get ahead? But yay that you finished it! Maybe you can just chill this weekend!

If you've read my other post, you know I have nothing planned - thank goodness!! I think I'll open up my new Koontz book (it's not even new, got it for Christmas). Or finish The Night Circus. Or keep re-reading Breaking Dawn. I know, the Twilight series is trash, but Libby got me started on it back in the beginning and now she hates it, but I still like the story, crazy as it is.

I'm sorry -- LOL about Dave and the keyboard. Men are so funny. Same-ish thing happened when Will was little. He completely emptied the vhs bookcase (and the tapes from their cases) while hubby was "watching" him. Hubby was reading, though. Same difference, LOL.

Laptop keys are insane. Much more difficult to replace than a regular keyboard. I know about replacing keys on a regular one -- I spilled an entire bottle of Nestle Quik chocolate milk on ours one time and had to remove them, blow-dry it dry, and then put all the keys back. We got a keyboard cover after that. LOL!!

Sounds like maybe Dave and Jake are a lot alike. :) Jake is that boy that you wonder how you'll survive. Right after we moved into our house in 2003, the house we bought that had white carpet everywhere because we're a special kind of stupid, he found a quart of oil and DUMPED the entire thing in the middle of the living room floor. Comes in with something on his little foot, and I'm thinking he got into the petroleum jelly. Oh how I wish. Stain never did completely fade. And I used boiling water w/ Tide and my carpet cleaner like immediately. He's hidden track balls in subwoofers, had stitches at the youngest age, only kid with a broken bone so far (and at the age of 6), numerous sprains/strains from being up on things he shouldn't, oh, and one of my favorites: carving the Fantastic 4 logo into our cherry wood dining room table. NO LIE. It was brilliant, but I just about died. He continues to do really goofy things and I just think that something got miswired when he was baking in there (we did have emergency abdominal surgery while 8 weeks pregnant with him, which I'm convinced caused his speech problems and also probably some of his behavior). He's smart and cute and sweet, but he has a little devilish side to him as well.

God made him cute so I wouldn't kill him. LOL.

I love the Twilight books and read them over and over. It's a sickness. ;) I think the movies are dreadful, but I watch them over and over, too. Really cheeses me off that Libby is so anti-Twilight now, after making me go to midnight movies, midnight book releases, and of course the expensive trip to Chicago. Yeah, all worth it, but she's so stinky about it now. And then I remind her that she created the monster. LOL.

Libby and Will have read the Hunger Games but I haven't yet. Very odd for me because I really enjoy the same kind of things they do. I read HP before they did, The Series of Unfortunate Events, and lots of other non-series books that they love now. It's just a time thing more than anything now. My time is so fleeting with books that I tend to read my main authors (King, Koontz, Grisham). Though maybe on maternity leave I'll read more. Because I know I won't rest when baby is sleeping. Never did with the other 3. Oh, but then I wasn't old, either, LOL, so who knows!!

All of my chores are done for the day! And, I scored a body pillow. Cannot wait to try it out. Maybe I should take a nap? :)
