I have book club on Saturday and we're going to a trendy new restaurant to boot - score.  Other than that, we have to plan the menus for our out-of-town company and turkey day (lots of shopping for me) and clean.  What are you doing this weekend?

LOL, seriously, right? Though at least if all the changes had happened then, it would be long over with. Smile To be honest, all the people we've lost, I've not had too much contact with since I started working from home. I think it would be much harder had all this happened while I was still seeing everyone every day. But, the partner we let go was the one who let me order my REALLY awesome office chair because my pregnant self couldn't get comfortable in the one I had. He was always so good to me. Frown

And about eyeglasses -- we'd never had to pay for them because FIL was an optometrist -- we'd go and get our checkups, but never paid out-of-pocket for anything. This year I had to get Will glasses, and with our insurance I still paid over $200. And, to get lenses for his old frames was AS MUCH as his new glasses with frames. It's a racket, I tell you! I thank my lucky stars that it's just he and hubs who need them, and not me, Libby, and Jake as well. Smile

Good job on knocking that shopping out.  You don't even want to know what precious little I have done!  I'm doomed.

How the heck do you still have money in the flex spending account?  We had $2400 and it was gone by July.  Most years we spend it by March so that was good!  It must be that we have the extra two bodies??  I told DH that we have to stop taking such good care of our little monsters, but he didn't laugh so I don't think he gets my sense of humor anymore.

Next year I suspect Matt may need his first pair of glasses so he can see the board in community college, Katie will likely need new lenses before the DMV will let her drive solo, I have DEFINITELY got to replace my reading glasses (neighbor child stepped on them 2 years ago, but I had them soldered and have been using them anyhow - major hardship for a diehard reader like me), and Matt's four wisdom teeth have to be removed by the oral surgeon.  Now those are the things we know about...  I don't have to tell you how life tends to send somebody to the ER on a moment's notice.  I always fantasize about having to scramble to find creative ways to spend the flex spending money at the end of the year so we don't lose it but it just doesn't happen around these parts!

Maybe in my next life I can sell eyeglasses and rake in the dough...

Have a happy weekend too!

TGIF!!!!  Boy did I get a lot accomplished today!!!  Got my eyes checked....eeeeekkkk almost fell outta my chair when I saw that amount.  I'm not even getting any new frames...just replacing the lenses.  Thank goodness for Flex spending!

Then I got a whole lot of Christmas shopping done and wrapped presents.  Got them hidden in our luggage...Go Me!!

DH made it to St. Louis and unloaded the ex-CEO's stuff for him, he just called and said they were very nice and helped him unload.  The boys and I are heading out for dinner tonight with Grandma and her sister (Aunt Carol)!!!  Aunt Carol is visiting because her husband goes deer hunting....that starts tomorrow.

Got some major cleaning to do in this house...that's tomorrow's project, Sunday finishing putting up xmas lights.  Suppose to be in the low 50's, I even saw 56 for Tgiving!  Wow....our weather sure has changed.

Enjoy your night out Margaret!!!!

Happy Weekend!

Good grief.  At least they waited until you weren't preggers anymore.  Now you can tackle anything, right?!  Still.... change sucks sometimes until we get used to it. Foot in Mouth

Nice that you will have some good quality family time to enjoy and relax!

We definitely have to hit the grocery store for T'giving fixins. So excited about that. Hubby is taking vacation next week, boys are off wed-thurs, and I'm off thurs & fri -- though I may be working fri depending on when Big Client report data comes in. We should know on Monday what's what.

And the usual this weekend: clean, iron, etc.

Another hard, hard week at work, but not necessarily work-wise... we all rec'd an email near EOD Wednesday saying that one of our partners was no longer with the company. The one who hired me, actually. So then there was a flurry of emails/phone calls to/from others and it was just a hard, hard afternoon/evening and yesterday wasn't much easier. I did get to talk to my main partner, the one who handles Big Client, and she made me feel better, again assuring me (again, for the second time in under a month) that we're not in trouble, but it's all about growth and direction and a non-meeting of the minds. But you know. Change is hard and even scary.

So. Just an emotional half of the week, right? But, onward and upward and all that optimistic stuff. Smile

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
