I love long weekends.
OMG...don't even get me started on the Packers....They had too much time off....I know they like to get the week off when they win the division and get home field advantage...but I think it can hurt a team.
My Monday was a bit hectic, but not too much. Had to take Will to the foot doc to have his ingrown toenail addressed. They numbed him with 3 shots and then took part of the nail off and it won't ever grow back. Libby had the same thing done when she was his age, and hubby did as well. So, need to mentally prep myself for Jacob's turn in a few years.
I'm very vaso vagal, so fainting isn't an unusual thing for me. Didn't faint, but it's always a worry. When Libby had this done, I had to lay on the floor while the doc was doing it. This time the chair thingy was entirely too high for that (to be able to hold his hand), so I just sat in the chair facing the wall. I'm honestly getting woozy just thinking about it.
Thursday I have my 3rd ultrasound, the Ultra-Scan, to check for abnormalities and then a finger prick to check for our chance of a Down's baby (all because of my age). Honestly, it's all for naught, except to perhaps make me a nervous wreck. I'd never terminate the pregnancy, so I'm not entirely sure that this is a good idea. And, there's no way I'll get an amnio should we not get great results. The only good thing about any of this is getting another pic of the baby.
I didn't have a long weekend, but the kids did. It was a floating holiday for us, so I could have taken the day off, but I've got too much to do and one of my counterparts took the day off. Our managing partner doesn't prefer to have more than one of us off at a time. It happens, but we try to avoid it.
Now, on to the business of Tuesday! :)
Brie, who needs to get off her butt and make a signature! :)
Mary, That is so super sad (the drowning - not being a 49ers fan).
