Well, I ordered two parts I need for my Dyson, the wand and hose, and will get those within a week. It's thrilling because I hate it when my floors are unclean. We've had this for 7 years now and the hose is just icky and the wand won't push down all the way without having to do calisthenics. I'm too pregnant to be fighting with the vac!

Also, cleaned Jacob's carpet yesterday. You see a theme here? I LOVE cleaning carpets. Or rather, I love clean carpets, LOL. Unthrilling is the fact that the orange soda stain did not come out completely... he spilled almost an entire huge McDs cup of soda (before I had the carpet cleaner -- got rid of it during the move and didn't replace until yesterday) and I think we're just doomed to look at it. Will try other things, but if Oxyclean doesn't get it out, I've little hope. But, the carpet does look better. I may just put a little rug over the stain and call it done. LOL!

Also thrilled that it's almost the weekend. I need it. :)

I know what you mean about a quiet house. On the one hand, it's nice. OTOH, it's almost too quiet. If I recall. I've not had a house to myself in ages.

I went about 10 days without my LG vacuum recently while I waited for the replacement parts and it was pure torture.

OMG, I'm the same way. I have a broom and a dustpan handy for if I spill something non-liquid, but, the vac just does an overall job better. And, the only carpet we have is in the bedrooms (just the 3, not Will's breakfast-nook-turned-bedroom), so if I have to broom it, it'll take forever. And dust bunnies? They hate the broom. Fly away from it. So, I get you, totally. :)

Cannot wait for the replacement parts. I'm gonna vacuum like there's no tomorrow. :)
