I'm thrilled to be going to have coffee with some of the neighbor ladies this morning.  Matt is going to watch Big D for me which is nice since he is tracked out of school.

Then I have to take the cat to the vet for a recheck, not thrilling but it'll be nice to have that over with.

Hopefully the repair dude will get back to me about my oven soon.

What is thrilling with you?

Wow, I haven't been to the Olive Garden since Katie was little.  I miss it.  Glad you had a good time!

My oven is fixed and DH called it.  It was the ignitor.  The bill was $145 and DH thought it would cost $150 to fix, ha ha.  It was worth 3 times that to know that someone qualified was dealing with it, KWIM?

My neighbor who I had coffee with is a choclatier.  I didn't eat any candy (I'm a saint), but I ate the yummiest rasberry stuffed cupcake she made - oh, to die for.  If I was related to her I would be the biggest woman in the Ripley's Believe It or Not Book every single year.  She bakes way better than I do!  As you said, Yum!!!!

So, I was somehow signed out of iV, and then I signed back in here and it told me I couldn't post messages. So then I went to another board, and then came back here, and I can post. So, that's your tip -- leave and come back if you are not authorized to post replies -- then all is well. Smile I will say that I'm SICK TO DEATH of things not working at iV. This is ridiculous already!

Thrilling: we changed our name at work. The girls and I were called "Word Processing," which we're so not. What we do there isn't really a name for. We work with data, and turn it into something meaningful for clients. We also deal with the surveys that go to respondents. And, we do a lot of other stuff. We work for just about everyone except data processing. Anyhoo, we're now "Presentation Specialists" which is much, much closer to what we do. We do take a presentation and make is amazing. Of course, most everyone is still going to call us WP, and there's one PD who still calls us "Typing" -- and that REALLY P's me off. We're so beyond typing that it's sick. But I digress. I've updated my work email signature, and I feel really special now. :)

Not-so-thrilling: Jake's progress report. He is just so different from my first two. Will has a GPA higher than is even possible -- 4.1 something. Libby wasn't QUITE as stellar, but then Will has the opportunity to take more Pre-AP and AP classes than she did (and truthfully, he's a freak -- wicked smart like his daddy). But Jake. Jake just doesn't give two craps. His best grade was 100 in Social Studies YAY!!), but the others are 80 and 70 somethings and a 59. I don't even KNOW how one gets a dang 59. So he's lost his computer until grades come out (we're at mid-term here, so a while) and if I don't see MARKED improvement, tv (in his room) goes too. I'll just take off the cable thingy. Problem is, he cares about these things a bit, but not a lot. And, it's not that he's unintelligent. He's so very smart. He just cannot be bothered to do the work. Goofy little boy.

Another unthrilling thing: sex. Yeah, we're approaching TMI here, but I gotta tell you, we're not having sex. It's been 3 weeks and 1 day (I keep track on my app in my iPhone). And, it's not because we don't want to. It's because he's either in too late (busy this time of year in the hotel biz) or we've got a baby in bed with us, or both. And tonight? She's in her swing, he's home semi-early (7pm) and at 8:14 I go into our bedroom while she's asleep in her swing in the office (it's the living room/office area) and he's too tired. REALLY?!! But he's been working stupid hours, 14-18 hour days now for two weeks, so I get it. But dude. He's NOT more tired than I am. It's un-possible. I haven't had a good night's sleep since when? Oh that's right. Since DECEMBER 7, 2011, when we found out we were pregnant with her. Hours away from ONE YEAR AGO!!! How I'm not psychotic by now, I'll never know! Wink I know things will improve, but it's just hard right now. It's just not our usual, and he's really cranky about it. We did get 15 minutes of no-baby-in-between-us snuggle time, though. /it's the little things, right? Smile

To end on a happy note, thrilling is stil this dang baby. Had her 4m checkup on Monday and she's 21 pounds. HUGE baby (and our biggest, outdoing her biggest brother by a half pound at this same age). But the happiest little big thing ever. Wakes up all smiles, loves her momma most (of course), and I just cannot imagine not having her here. She has her moments where I want to scream and go to an island all by myself, of course, but then I get that way with the other three also. Truly, I am very blessed. Smile

AND tomorrow is Friday! w00t w00t!!!

Listen, when it comes to the gas appliances, I'm with you. While I'd never let hubby deal with anything house related at all (he's not that guy), I won't touch the gas things until after a person who knows what they're doing shows ME how to do it. Like when my dryer "broke." Now I know how to check the belt, and I feel comfortable doing it because the dryer guy showed me how to. I'm glad you got your oven fixed with relatively little outlay. $150 isn't cheap, but a new oven would've been more.

And now I want a raspberry cupcake. Thanks a lot!! Wink

You just keep finding the work-arounds to get logged in because we have to hear from you, okay?  I don't care is you have to call corporate iVillage and tell them I sent you (I can see it now - Margaret Who had you phone us??, LOL).

Zo, AKA Darling Big Fat Baby, sounds lovely.  She is so going to hate me when she weighs 110 pounds, is 15 years old and I am still calling her that rather figuring out how to make the cool e with the cool dots (it is really easy on my cell phone, BTW).  You are blessed to have her and I'm glad you know.  I am trying to get a whiff of baby smell from here!!!

Hang in there with Jake.  He has a lot of potential and simply needs to motivate himself before he discovers he resides in a completely empty bedroom, poor kid!

Way to go on having the 'Work Officials Who Name Things' bring your group into this century - super nice.  "Typing" makes me think you are utilizing the ultra-modern IBM Selectrics our medical transcriptionists used at the hospital shortly after we stopped chiseling in stone like Moses.  It's like the Virginia Slims ad:  You've come a long way baby!

We have time for 15+ minutes now and DH doesn't even want to anymore.  I am about to buy testosterone injections off the Internet, shove one in DH's butt cheek and hope for the best since he refuses to discuss it with a physician.  I'm kidding, with my luck it would be cement and my husband's rump would fall off.

As long as Mary has vacay time and you have snuggle time, I'm good.
