Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
I'm thrilled that we already did some online shopping. Kohl's had some kitchen counter stools that we liked and they have them as an Earlybird Black Friday item, but they also had them as an online item. They were ordered this morning along with another 15% off promo that I had!! Sweet deal.
Happy Thanksgiving, ladies!
I need some new stools -- but honestly, you cannot sit at our little bar thingy due to me putting bills there -- and a cookie jar, and the iron, and baby bibs... LOL -- you get the idea. Just thought -- that's another junk "drawer" - HA!
We did the same thing, too, Mary -- been saving to buy Will a computer and did that online today. We were going to build one, but opted instead for a middle-of-the road pre-built at newegg -- saved a couple hundred and scored a monitor to boot (otherwise, he was getting one of hubby's and that didn't set well with hubs, LOL). It's not a present, but will arrive in time for his birthday next week, so that's nice. Huge bonus is that we didn't go over what I'd saved for it. Been saving $$ since April I think for Christmas, then it got earmarked for this expense instead.
Hope you are both enjoying the day or are sufficiently in a food coma.
Congrats to you both on the online shopping!
My BIL is talking about going out tonight for Black Friday madness, but he is exhausted. Surely we won't....
Phew! I am off the hook until tomorrow. Life is good. I cannot imagine shopping after midnight with a belly full of turkey, LOL, and a mall full of strangers!
You couldn't pay me to go shopping today... I've got to stop and get a few things at the store (milk, bread) and hit the pharmacy, but I'm not going anywhere near a mall or other shopping places today. It's going to be crazy.
Hubs had to go to work this morning and the hotel is across the street from a mall -- he usually parks in the mall parking lot. Hotel isn't at capacity so he's parking in their garage instead. I told him he wouldn't want a piece of Black Friday parking, LOL.
Saw on our news this morning that a guy pulled a gun on a line-cutter last night -- but the line cutter punched him first. Since he had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, gun guy isn't being charged (plus he didn't shoot the guy or anything, but rather was defending himself). Still, Black Friday in Texas I think it's a different kind of BF, and I definitely don't need anything badly enough to risk life and limb.
If you're going out today, be careful!
OMG, that is super nuts. I did venture out for groceries twice, LOL. Went to the regular grocery store in the morning for essentials and then BIL wanted to go to Trader Joe's in the evening because they don't have one. I went to Kohl's with the rest of the crazies, and went to Best Buy in the evening. Got a Samsung 3D Blu-ray player to go with my 3D TV that I got for Xmas last year for only $100. The kids are watching a movie right now and the pic is phenomenal. Merry Christmas to us (and no guns involved - I would stroke out)!
