I'm considering starting but I want to know if it really is worthwhile. I'm not the hard-selling type and definitely wouldn't do door-to-door or anything like that, but am wondering how realistic it is to make any money just selling to friends and DH's coworkers (there is currently no

Hi!

If you love Avon, then go for it. You have nothing to lose. :-) I strongly believe in selling for a company you would be a customer for first. I attribute my success with Usborne to that I love the books. LOL.

Good luck and have fun!

Hi there.

We sound like the same person. I do currently sell Avon to family and friends but I don't make a dime! I started selling if because you do get a small discount so I figured hey, why not because I use the products and it's only $10 bucks to get started.

Now that I have been doing it for about 3 years I think I'm going to stop at the first of the year. You will find that there are a few charges to you every month. You order every 2 weeks and you always have to order something. If you don't, then you get a fee charged to your account and if you miss 2 orders they wont allow you to order until you contact them and they may charge you the $10 start up cost.

ITA with you! I was an Avon rep for about a year, maybe a little longer. I was my own best customer but I loved the stuff. I had to get out of it because I couldn't afford it anymore.

On the other hand, I have a g/f that is doing great in the business! She's more outgoing than I was and has some good resources like her DHs place of business and places she shops at regularly.

I was an Avon lady but only for 4 campaigns just to see if it was for me.The area of Windsor is saturated with women selling Avon.I am unable to drive so my neighborhood was the best place to start looking for clients.I felt stressed until I was able to hand out my brochures. The leader that signed me up for it was supposed to train me.She showed me a few things, but I basically taught the program to myself. My motherinlaw used to sell it and she helped me a little. She told me that there was a way to do your invoices online with the Avon website,so I went searching and found it and learned
