I know there are a lot who do direct sales and I'm sure there are some companies I haven't heard of. Curious to know which company you chose to work with, including past & current companies. Why did you choose them? What are the pros or what did you like about them? What are the negatives or what don't you like about them? Be honest, don't make it just a sale's pitch :) Copy & paste the questions and answer yourself!

What is the company: Vault Denim-Designer Jeans up to 50% off

Why did you choose them?: They were brand new so lots of potential to grow quickly. I never owned designer jeans before because they were so expensive but now they are affordable and available for every size. I feel like a beautiful woman when I am in my jeans. I love jeans!

What are the pros or what do/did you like about them?: The pros are designer jeans cost anywhere from $48-$92. I get 18%-24% commission on personal sales. Costs only $159 to get in and I don't have to buy an inventory. Vault Denim just announced that it will pay for Maternity leave, Adoption, Deployment or Death in the family for 2 months at 100%. Not many companies do this anymore!!! This is such a great company.

What are the negatives or what don't you like Iabout them?: Being a new company, nobody knows your name. Its difficult to get people interested in having jean parties unless they are jean snobs. Talking to people who normally shop at walmart and don't care what they look like is difficult. Most people don't believe you unless they see it.

What is the company:  Dove Chocolate Discoveries

Why did you choose them? I love Chocolate. I wanted something that was consumable.

What are the pros or what do/did you like about them? Kit is reasonably priced. Great training and team to help you achieve your goals. Incentive trips that are within reach for all people not just leaders. Only 2000 chocolatiers, so nothing is saturated yet, definately room for growth. Backed my Mars Inc which is a 16 Billion dollar business. So much more

What are the negatives or what don't you like about them?  I have not found a negative yet! I prob will eventually run into some issues, but so far i havent.

Thanks for posting the question, some great comments already!

What is the company:

Melaleuca

Why did you choose them?

I found Melaleuca when my hubby was stuck in a dead end job and we needed something to make more money while stil staying home with my 4 boys and homeschool them. I chose Melalueca because when I got all the facts, it totally made sense. It really was something I could do, and now my hubby is helping me as well!

What are the pros or what do/did you like about them?

Such an easy question. Its not an MLM, there's no inventory, no paperwork, no sales, and finally NO RISK. If I don't like something, I can return it for a full refund!

What are the negatives or what don't you like about them?

Honestly there's not much to complain about. My husband said it best: "Usually you can find the chink in the armor eventually. With Melaleuca there's no chink!"

Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this board :smileyhappy: I was doing some late night research and came across this thread so I thought I'd add in what I've found. I've done a few direct sales companies....Melaleuca, Pampered Chef and now....

What is the company: SoyLicious (www.soylicious.com/rlgrayson

Why did you choose them? A friend of mine recommended them after I posted about needing a new job.

What are the pros or what do/did you like about them? The SoyLicious line has something for everyone. Soy candles, soy soaps, room sprays, tarts, and melter gems. The startup cost is only 99 cents, which really works for me because money is tight right now. There is also no minimum sales each month, which is REALLY helpful because that always ended up being my downfall in the other companies. I always ended up spending way more than I was selling.

What are the negatives or what don't you like about them? I just started so I haven't found any yet. As with any direct sales company it can be hard to find people to join your team or host a party.
