My name is Lisa and I have been trying for a couple months to become a WAHM. I have a daugher who will be 1 in a couple weeks and I really want to stay with her. It's been very frustrating work (looking that is). I am degreed and I ran a business for 5 years but yet I can't find a single thing!! I am not going to pay to get a job, I really think those are scams. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Sometimes I feel like giving up.

Hi Lisa-
I too am trying to become a WAHM. I am very well educated and have a background in Business Analysis and computer database programming. I haven't found a whole lot out there that pertains to my skills that I can do from home. I did start trying Ebay a month ago and I have had great success with it.
So don't give up yet! I know that someday I will get there and you can too!
You can check out my response posts under the Pregnant and need at Home Job in the advice section.

Look forward to seeing you around-

Hi Lisa and welcome. Your right about paying to get a job. Don't ever pay, if it is legit you should not have to pay. Just keep looking and asking around this site and other wahm sites and you might find what your looking for.

Hi Lisa, welcome to the board!

You mention that you ran a business... what type of business? Could you possibly find freelancing related to your degree? Maybe do some consulting?

What are your interests and hobbies? If you previously ran a business, you may have just the personality for sales. Are there any kind of products that you just absolutely love that you would consider representing?
