Hi, I'm new here and a new WAHM

My name is Jaimee and I have two great dd's age 7 and 4. Here is a little background. DH and I had a print shop which unfortunately was destroyed by fire in the summer of 2000.(It was so nice to take my girls to work with me) Our insurance company accused us of not paying our bill and of course our receipt was destroyed in the fire. We found out some illegal/bad faith things they did and are fighting them still almost 3 years later. Needless to say, we went from being financially sound to flat broke pretty quick. DH works at a part time albiet a well paying job and because the heat makes me very sick (and we live in very hot Southern NV) I haven't been working since we lost the print shop. Well, with one year's tax return Invested $400 dollars in a business (December 2002) and just now got around to affording the sales tax permit and business license etc. But now we are raring to go with this business and I am very excited. It is so nice to finally be able to contribute to the household income again no matter whether I am sick or not, and to still be here for my kids. We can't afford much in the way of advertising yet, but we are taking it slow and we have friends and co-workers of DH who are becoming our first customers. After our first order, we are now able to get Credit Card availability, and in a few days we should have a website (free for 6 months!) up and running. I am also very excited about this. Okay, that is my background. Sorry for babbling on and on.

I am glad to be here with other WAHM's. I hope I can learn a lot here. My biggest obstacle right now is making room for my office in a crowded 2 bdrm. condo. We hope to move to a cooler state in August and hopefully will be able to get a bigger place.

I guess I should say what my business is huh? lol We have a gift selling business and we love the products and talking with prospective customers.
