Hi, and welcome to the board!! I'm not sure if I have any specific suggestions for you, since you really need to find something that fits your personality, hobbies or things you like to do. I have some recommendations, though, in what NOT to do - don't get into anything that "PROMISES" tons of money - they're usually a scam. Also, anything with a huge start-up cost (more than $100) is probably not too cool, either. I'm not fond of businesses that require you to have a large inventory, but some people run very successful businesses with those companies, so I can't say that they're "scams", you just have to do what feels right to you. If you have the ability to have child care for your kids, you might be able to do one of the direct sales businesses out there (i.e., parties, etc), but if not, you'll have to find something that you can do from home. Be wary of any of those "stuffing envelopes" type of things - check into everything deeply by calling the BBB and or getting references and such. And, like I said, think about what you enjoy doing and what would make you a fulfilled person - for example, if you love art and love to paint, you could become and art instructor and do instruction in your own home while your kids nap. Just a suggestion. Best of luck to you and let us know what you decide! :)

I work for West Corporation. I do customer service from home. With small children you would have to work when they are sleeping. (no background noise) But it would give you income for gas and incidentials. I usually make $50-$80 a week, depending on how many hours and I calls I take. Also visit They have job listing every week.

First of all- love the pics!! HOw cute!

Second- this is something I tell everyone who is looking for a home biz
First- you have to really like the products/service because otherwise, if you are not convinced, you will not be successful, regardless of how good the company is.

Then, you have to like the "working enviromenment"- you have to feel comfortable with their requirements, fees, training, etc-- again- if you are not happy with it, it will show and you won't be successful.

With that said, let me tell you about me. I am a homeschool mom of 3. My second daughter had Downs, and even though she is a total miracle and is doing fantastic, I still have to take her to therapy at least once a week- and considering all other activities they have (piano, scouts, choir, etc, etc) I wanted something flexible and that would not tunr into a stress point because I would need to be focused on fulfilling a minimum requirement or putting money out for fees.

That is why I love the company I work with- it is called Enchanted Potions. We hand make bath body and home products- made at time to order, with choice of over 90 different scents! I not only love the products, BUT- it is free to join, there are no monthly fees, no monthly minimum sales quotas, recruiting is optional but not required, and after your first order you get a free website that has no maintenance fees. You are not required to keep an inventory either. Compensation plan is great, and support is amazing.
You can do direct sales, home parties, fundraisers, fairs, flea markets- customers can order at any time.

With this said- good luck in your search- look for something you really like- is one of the most important points on being successful- love what you do!!

Hi Lindsey!
Wow, you have your hands full!
I agree with what everyone has said so far. You really have to follow your passion and find something that excites you. It took me a long time to find something "for me" and I tried lots of different things in between.
I am now with MomExecs and love it. I don't nave to sell, have an inventory or do home parties. For me and my family it has been wonderful and I am so glad I was willing to give it a try!

Good Luck to you!

I definitely agree with the previous posts. Find something that you love and enjoy. Research the company!!! I've been scammed before and so I researched this company for months (probably too much). But it was very worth it in the end.
There's a lot out there. Find out from people in those companies what they like or dislike about what they do.
Good luck on your search!!!
