Okay I am a SAHM but we really need extra income, I was hoping to find a home based bussiness that I can do, I am really good on computers and with people, especially children and elderly, I don't have much if any money to put into it, So I was hoping someone could help me figure out if there is anything out there for me. Maybe someone knows of a company that needs people to stuff envelopes or someone to make calls, or filing from home or something. I have looked all over the internet and can't seem to find anything that will work for me mostly because they all require so much money to start. Please help.

Hi Brandy, have you heard of Alpine Access? It is a virtual call center and it allows you to work from home. Try applying with them.

Brandy,
Welcome to the board - sorry it took me a few days to get back to you I've been swamped with my book business.
Tell us more about yourself and what you like to do. We have a lot of ladies here in direct sales, I sell Usborne Books, we have some with Pampered Chef, others with Discovery Toys, Melaluca, Partylights, Passion etc. Most home businesses have a start up fee associated with them but most companies have a monthly special if you speak to a consultant.
There are also folks who sell on eBay, do medical transcription, work distance based for larger firms etc.
Just let us know more about you and what you'd like to do and i'm sure you'll get a bunch of ideas.
Its been a bit quiet around here lately and I know that for many of us this is our busiest time of year but in a few weeks things will normalize.
Take care and I hope to see you here again soon.
Well no one is allowed to 'recruit' you here or offer you their opportunity. It is against the board rules and their post will be deleted.
As for the MT jobs, you will need to be trained to do that. There are a number of online schools - some legit, some less so. They do cost money. As for the telecommuters those jobs are a lot less frequently available. A lot of the ones you see advertised are scams so definitely be careful. Most of the folks who work at home distance for a larger company used to work onsite for that company and made arrangement to telecommute. I had a distance based job in Chicago where my company was in California but those are definitely rare.
Often home businesses are the way to go. If that's not your cup of tea do you have anything you can market on eBay? Be sure to check your items against other similar ones for pricing etc. There are some ladies here who can help you on that.
Again welcome to the board
