Hi all!

This is the first time I have been on this board, actually. I'm enjoying reading some of your old posts.

My name is Rachel, and I'm a SAHM to Grace who is one year old. My DH and I are playing the waiting game and waiting for a job for him to come through. In the meantime, we are in need of extra money, as he is working a couple of jobs on-call.

I used to be a Realtor and also a youth minister. Since having Grace, I haven't worked but recently did start selling on Ebay. Even after DH gets this job (assuming it works out), I'd love to be able to

Hi and welcome!

Direct Sales can be a great avenue for income! Just be sure you are passionate about the company and willing to work 5 - 10 hours a week (not including surfing the net!). You definately get out of it what you put in.

It sounds like you have an idea of what you want to do!

Best of luck,

Debbie

Hi Rachel,

I wish you all the best in your search.
I am also a sahm/wahm and I have been looking to earn some extra money from home for a couple of years now and it is not until now that i am actually earning very well with my current business and i love it... i only need internet and a phone, plus the company gives us benefits for the entire household, 401k and so much more.

Best of luck

Hi Rachel! My name is Kayla and I too am a stay at home mom. My husband and I have wonderful 5year old son Dylan and hopefully another one on the way soon! I read your post and I just recently started working from home. Just to help out and pay off some bills and for once maybe have some extra money! I dont really know if this would be the thing for you or not, but it has been great for me so far. It's alot of fun and I bascially work when I want too. Which is nice when you have smaller children and a family to take care of. So I wish you the best of luck and hope you find something that helps out your family! Take Care and all my luck to you!

Hi Rachel,

Welcome to the board... I'm glad you found us!

I'm going to echo a lot of what Debbie said about Direct Sales. Direct Sales is absolutely a viable income-earner, but what is CRUCIAL is that you love and believe in what you're selling... and that you work your business LIKE a job.

I'm with Mary Kay, personally, and I know lots of women who are doing fabulously with it. These women are focused, they keep a list of goals, they have to-do checklists, and they stop on top of their products and their market.

Rachel - what cute kids! How much are you needing to earn in the next couple of months? How many hours are you able to put in? Are your hours flexible? If you have any specific questions, you will probably get a great response... My advise - keep looking - do not give up - you will find something that will work for you & your family!
