What do You do?

I was wondering what other people do about scheduling "work" time when you are also a full time mom.

It can be tricky. How old is she? If I can't carry on a conversation with someone at the time, I will reschedule if I can. Or enlist some help if I can go that route instead.

I've had salespeople call me with too much noise in the background and I will hang up on them. That's just crazy.

What are some of the tricks that work for you?

Luckily with my business I can do alot through text message and post on my contact form I prefer texts. When people do call me there is often a screaming kid in the background. I have a 3 year old, 2 year old and 8 month old so someone always needs attention. I avoid phone calles like the plague lol. I try to do everything through email and text :). If I do get a call and a child is crying to much I just say I will have to call them back. My kids come first and if they are not ok with that then I dont want their business anyway :)

This is by far the hardest part of our job as a work at home mom.

I have started waking up a little before the kids and getting about an hour in the morning to make my to-do list, check in with my team (or send emails), etc. Then I sneak in work while the kids are napping, eating lunch, playing nicely. And then another hour once they go to bed. I am very much so looking forward to the end of this month when my in-home childcare job comes to an end and DD goes back to preschool. Then I can dedicate DD's preschool time to the business while DS is napping.
