I watched at episode of "Birthdays" the other day, and a family was bringing home their second child. The first child was only like 2 or something, and the mom was going to be home for awhile, (it didnt mention if she worked or not) but they decided that for the first few weeks or month or whatever they were going to put their oldest daughter into full time daycare so that they would have all day to bond with the new baby without having to deal with the toddler. I can understand what they wanted, but I think that would really hurt the toddler. A new baby comes into the house and suddenly they don't want her anymore? she gets shipped off for the day so that mommy can play with a new baby? I just don't agree, I think that when a new baby comes into the home everyone should be there to bond with him/her, not just mom and dad. My DD would have been crushed if we didn't want her here with the baby, she would have felt terribly left out and replaced.
What does everyone think? Is it
