My 9 year old went back to school after 2 years at home. I hadn't heard a word from his teacher. Today she sent an email that said:
"(He) is adjusting to classroom expectations very well. Academically, he is performing terrifically and I can see I will need to keep him challenged in all academic areas. :-) I find his eagerness to learn and participate in classroom discussions
refreshing. "
I cried. Not like I used to with horribly negative emails I would receive. This was wonderful. I read quickly to see what the catch was, but there wasn't one. She just said she's write things down for him to remember, and if anyone is mean to him, let her know. Maybe everything will be okay.
