We went back to the LC today for a weight check. Peter has only gained 3.3oz since last Friday. We're estimating that he's getting around 28oz a day total. When I fed him today, he got 44mLs from my left side, up from 28mLs last week. He got 24mLs from the right, though he wasn't trying at that hard. After we had weighed him, he spit up, so we stuck him back on the scale. After picking up a total of 68g, he lost 6 due to spit up. I put him back on the right, we heard him gulping, then he spit up again. When we weighed him this time, he was down to 60g total gain.

So the supply issue is slowly resolving itself. a 50% increase in a week's time is great! Now we just have to address the spit up. The LC said that he's obviously not getting too much, but if he spits up that much with each feeding, then he's losing several ounces a day. I have all of his gains/losses to take to the dr, and I'm calling Monday to see if we can move up our weight check there, and get something to treat the spit-up issue. I've been saying it's a problem since he was a month old...

Oh, and she told me to bring him back Thursday between 5-5:30, and she'll do a weight check on the same scale off the clock so we don't get charged for it. I finally feel like we're on the right track and will figure this mess out soon!
