My current/ August cycle has been cancelled (transfer was due next week), due to some kind of mysterious "miscommunication" between the donor coordinator and the donor. I am quite suspicious...has anyone had this kind of experience? I cannot believe that such mis-management is possible, and that this could happen at this point in the process. I am thinking that the clinic should give some kind of financial compensation for the next cycle which will happen with a different donor in September. Curious for feedback on this. Basically, I was told that the donor never received her meds and therefore did not start on her BC pills back in June. But the coordinator only found this out early August, once she called her with my baseline results and to put her on her stim meds. Then her period was late, and then once she did get her period, she left town due to a family emergency, instead of starting on her stim meds. This just sounds too weird to me. I feel that there has to be some kind of contract between the donor and the clinic. And the clinic seems negligent to me, since they had no clue what was going on and never checked on the donor during the entire month of July! I feel that I am paying way too much to have my cycle mis-managed this way. Luckily my # 2 donor was available and she is due to get her period end of next week and then she will start on BC pills. If all goes well, transfer will take place mid/end September - provided the clinic does not screw up again. Curious for any feedback re: what happened with my current cycle and the clinic's liability.
