Hello, hello 2T...it is soooo nice to meet you!!!
Today was my first MFM visit and all went well. The u/s tech came in first and I was treated to an abdominal instead of vaginal u/s. Sweet! The first thing I saw (after the hb) was what looked like a little hand swatting at the transducer. The u/s tech at one point said, "Wow, you can actually see all four chambers of the heart right now" and also showed me the stomach and printed a picture showing the toes of one foot, a hand, and the rest of the body for me to keep.
CRL 7.76cm, hb 150bmp, GA 13w6d, new EDD 3/13/12 (nurse later said 3/8/12 but wanted to keep the 13th, I think 11th)
Next up was meeting the MFM. He seems nice. I briefly told him my history and that I'm at risk for incompetent cervix and PTL. He immediately said he wanted me back in 2 weeks to check the cervix.
I was also told that the gender check wouldn't be until 20 weeks. Fine by me. DH wants to know and has offered to buy me a new sewing machine and dryer as well as spend at least one whole day completely together by ourselves (meaning no in-laws or doing farm stuff) during his Christmas break. So enticing! I might change from team green to yellow. LOL, if I wait to agree I wonder if he'll sweeten the pot. I'm rotten! :smileywink:
After that was the nurse visit and gathering information. She also gave me some magazines and a pregnancy planner.
Unfortunately I have a cold right now so after that appointment I went to my GP to double check it wasn't anything more than that.
I'm still on the Zofran for m/s and am looking forward to the end of m/s. On Monday DH fixed eggs for breakfast and I couldn't hold them down. Boo.
