Hi :) My name is Katherine and I have a year old daughter named Jacie (Jay-cee). Since before she was born you might as well say I have been a single mom. Yes, her father was there when I was pregnant but he didn't do anything for her. Instead of getting a job to save up some money, he sat on his ass. Instead of trying to find a place for us to live, he sat on his ass. I think you get the picture. Anyway, I kept him around because he kept saying he would try to get a job and try to do better. But the relationship was just to the point where we were acquaintances, we weren't "in love" anymore, at least I wasn't. He was physically abusive and verbally abusive. I have permanent back problems and permanent emotional problems because of it. I kicked him out of mine and my daughter's life about 5 months ago and ever since Jacie and I have been happier and healthier than ever. I just wnted to give whoever wanted to read a description of how I became a single mom and how I overcame the abuse. Being a teen mom, I also don't have many friends left because everyone turned their backs on me when they found out I was pregnant. I would love to have someone to talk to besides my family and my mom. I mean it's great and all having her around to talk to but sometimes she just doesn't understand.
