I am currently taking a sociology class focused on marriage and family. During a recent project, research that accounted for the time of both men and women exposed that men are performing more tasks around the house.
During a discussion, the question of intention was raised. Are men pitching in more alongside of their wives? Or just in their absence?
For example, If she has to work late one night and he opens a can of soup and makes a sandwich, fending for himself, that would show him spending more time on household tasks than the wife.
