Hi! My DS is 11 and in 6th grade. Last year, in 5th grade he started playing the trumpet in band. He seemed to like it and practiced occasionaly. Now in 6th grade he has continued with band except he doesn't seem to be doing too much with it. He never practices it. I asked him last night to take out his trumpet and play a song for us. He found a million excuses not to. At this point I am thinking he cannot play it. I am paying $30 a month for this trumpet. WWYD at this point, let him finish the year or return the trumpet? We are on a very tight budget right now. As a child I quit alot of activities so I do not want to encourage that either. Thanks for any advice you have to offer.
