I started feeling contractions last night at 6pm. They weren't intense but regular. I finally fell asleep at 10pm and woke at 1:30am. To intense 4 min apart ones. Then I dozed off. When the alarm went off at 6am, I called work and told them that I was going to get checked out. At this point the contractions were 4 mins apart but manageable. I had DH take the kids to the sitters and told him about the labor pains. He drove me to the hospital. Got checked in, labs and IV in. MD notified. I'm a section for 12/7 so they had me sign consents. Urine came bnack + for UTI. I was surprised because I didn't have any symptoms. To make a long story short, they checked me at 8-10- 12 noon and I was only "thin" no dilation. Since I'm only 38 w 1 D, they really don't want to section before 39 weeks. So despite regular, decent contractions, I got sent home. Basically unless my painm is intense, I bleed or water breaks I shouldn't come back until 39 weeks. What a waste of a day- and a letdown! Sigh...
