Little risks

Awhile back there was this guy who would come to karaoke at the same place I went. I always thought he was cute, but only talked to him a couple of times. He looked a little like my ex, and at first that was hard to get beyond. I thought he'd be mean like him too, I guess.

So the old place closed (I'm still sad about that!) and he'd stopped coming anyway so I kinda forgot about him. The new place (same owner as the old bar) opened and it's pretty much a snooty restaurant- not at all what some people thought. I'd seen the guy make comments on the new restaurant's Facebook page about applying as a bouncer on the weekends, but that was it. This past weekend, he left a comment about how the new place just wasn't right for our mid-sized town. It was too stuffy, and the old place was much better. He wrote it very intelligently and was nice, but I completely agreed with him. So I sent him a message telling him about the place where the old DJs are working now. It's basically taken on the role of the bar that shut down. It's newer and in an odd spot, though, so not many people know about it.

That seems like a small risk, but for me to email a random guy who probably doesn't even remember me is a big deal. No response yet, though. Every time I see that I have a message, I get a little nervous, though. I don't know why! It's not like I even know the guy. But he does have an awesome voice, and that makes me melt!
