Hello Ladies, I went to see my obgyn today to express my concerns about ttc for almost 6 months and for my early spotting issue. She was very understanding because she is a "control freak" like me and she was stressing to have another baby about a year ago.
So, I explained to her that I been charting and I know that I am ovulating. I told her that my cycle average is about 25-27 days averaging 26 days the past 5 cycles. I told her that I began spotting this month 3 days prior to AF being due and that I spotted another 2 days after AF and that AF was only low flow CD1 and high CD2 then minimal spotting for 3 days. She asked me if I took a pregnancy test and I told her I did and it was BFN.
She breifly mention clamoid and I told her that wouldn't help me because I was ovulating fine and I suggested that maybe my progesterone was low and she agreed. She said she can prescribe progesterone, but I told her that I do not want to shot up anything without knowing if it is really needed. She agreed and said that we will run a lab work on Jan 12 which should be about 7 DPO and about less than a week before AF is due to see what my levels are. She said it was too late to do the 3 day test because I am on CD 7, she also will check my estrogen level on the 12th and I am to go follow up on the 16th of Jan for the lab results.
Overall, I was very pleased with the consultation because she did not shut me down on the whole TTC for 5/6 months and charting even after seeing the charts....I would have liked for her to suggest the bloodwork and not just go straight to the medicine talk. But I also understand some doctors are like that and is up to the patient to decide what they want to do and tell their doctor lets do XYZ first. She also coded stuff differently to not have a problem with my insurance not covering the lab work (that was super cool) :P
