So far I have one who loves to read and one who doesn't. Macy, who is in 2nd grade, has just started reading for pleasure. She's not into chapter books quite yet (she's English as a Second Language) but DH brought home a SpongeBob book that is sort of half chapter book, half comic book and I've "caught" her reading it a few tims this week at her leisure. I can't wait until she makes that leap to independent reader. I know that she is going to have her nose stuck in a book all the time, just like I did as a kid.
My 6 yo boy is not fluent enough to read for pleasure by himself but he does like it when we do story time at night before bed. We're reading one of the Flat Stanley books right now.
